Student Scholarships for APA Florida Conference
Apply Now for a Student Scholarship to Attend the Florida APA Annual Conference
Deadline is August 22
The Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA Florida) is holding its 2018 annual conference in West Palm Beach September 11-14. This is a great opportunity for students to network with prospective employers and to learn about what’s happening in planning in Florida and beyond. For more information about the conference, see: http://floridaplanning.org/apaflconf/.
Students who volunteer to assist with the conference will receive preference. If you wish to volunteer, please contact Patricia Behn at email@example.com.
The Treasure Coast Section of APA Florida is providing scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis to up to 15 full-time students who are APA members and who live or work in the Section’s service area (Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, or Okeechobee counties). If you are not an APA member, join now (it’s free for students!) by contacting Alejandra Quintero in the SURP office at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Treasure Coast Section is offering $100 scholarships, which effectively reduce the $135 full-time student registration fee to only $35 (recipients must pay the full fee and then request reimbursement). The scholarships are intended for students who do not have another source of funding, such as an employer willing to cover the registration fee. Note that the $135 registration fee goes up to $170 after August 22.
To apply, contact Alessandria Palmer, Treasure Coast Section Chair, at email@example.com, as soon as possible, but no later than August 10, and let her know if you’ve volunteered to assist with the conference.
