Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work
The Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work is our signature community and Advisory Board event, which has occurred annually in the home of the president of the university. The event involves extensive community participation, and allows our stakeholders to support student scholarships and to learn about the School’s contributions to student life, as well as the contributions made to our broader communities through the activities of students, faculty, and our myriad stakeholders and friends.
The 2019 Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work
On March 29th, we had our annual Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work event. This year it was held at the Acura Club at the FAU Stadium. Transformations Treatment Center was recognized as Agency of the Year, Dhaima Chin was recognized as Alumnus of the Year and MSW student Alan Romano received a special recognition. BSW student Tiesha Carvil and MSW student Virginia Clancy read their winning essays.
The FAU Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work faculty and staff would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s event. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
