SCCJ Professors Present to PBC Criminal Justice Commission…
FAU SCCJ Professors, Dr. Cassandra Atkin-Plunk (right) and Dr. Vaughn Crichlow (left), were invited to present at the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission’s (CJC) Annual Planning Meeting on Monday, February 27, 2017. Drs. Atkin-Plunk and Crichlow presented a primer on procedural justice, implicit bias, and body-worn cameras to members of the CJC, which consists of 22 high-ranking public and 11 private sector members. Public sector members include the State Attorney, Public Defender, Chief Judge of the 15th Judicial Court, PBSO Sheriff, West Palm Beach Police Chief, Chief Probation Office for the Department of Juvenile Justice, Circuit Administrator for the Florida Department of Corrections, Resident Agent in Charge of the ATF, Assistant Supervisory Agent in Charge of the FBI, Resident Agent in Charge of the DEA, among others.
